Concept Explanation:

The stairs going down was designed for Off White's studio and was inspired by the adjective secure. This design involves a series of wooden blocks supported by stone that fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. It also has a metal handrail that follows the zigzag shape The utilising of these hard materials ensure a steady and safe staircase, which was the main idea behind this design.

The stairs going up was designed for BernabeiFreeman's studio and was inspired by the noun light. The design utilises a geometric triangular form which is derived from the idea of rays of sunlight. It also combines different types of glass and mirror as materials, and is situated inside a circular glass wall which creates transparency and light to shine though.
