HERO & DETAIL

HERO SHOT

Image Rendered in Lumion

The hero shot displays the above ground workspace of Bernabeifreeman influenced by the noun ‘light’ as well as a section of the half-underground workshop of Off-white created from the adjective ‘secure’. In between these two sections also pictures the open gallery area for both companies to display their designs. This image explores the different layers of the building, and how they connect with each other and the surrounding environment.

Set within an rocky, uneven landscape, this hero shot reveals how the building sits within its surrounding terrain. A portion of the Off-White workspace is seamlessly integrated into mountainous area, supported by rock and metal poles. On top of the rectangular piece is an open layer that is the gallery, set out in a cross formation resembling the stitching of Bernabeifreeman’s Stitch lights.

The rendered image also emphasises on the unique choice of material of the building and how this is enhanced by the surrounding environment. The image captures the sunlight at an angle directly through the glass windows, emitting a blue tinge that highlights the etheral beauty and transparent nature of the above workspace.

DETAIL SHOT

The detail shot focuses on the distinct shapes and positioning of the staircase going to the Bernabeifreeman workspace, inspired by the noun ‘light’. The shot portrays the sophisticated yet clean design, dominated by the distinctive triangular geometry adopted from the idea of triangular sun’s rays.

The detail shot highlights the central theme of light through its geometric architecture, the heavy interweaving spikes contrasting with the floating glass staircase. The monochromatic materials and colours used help to create a paradoxical simplicity within the complicated design. Each of these details both contrast and complement each other, presenting a unique and harmonious building design.
